They've waited three years for this day. Now, teachers, parents and students at Bay Haven Charter Academy are celebrating.
Crews broke ground Saturday on the 14-acre site that will house the new $12 million K-8 school.
Located on Highway 389, the $12million facility is expected to open the fall of 2005. You may remember the St. Joe Company donated the land.
Bay Haven Charter Academy Foundation volunteers have raised just under the $100,000 needed to help pay for construction. The school will begin selling $11.6 million in bonds beginning May 19.
