Black Friday is known as the biggest shopping day of the year and now the sales seem to be spilling over into Thursday too.
The Silver Sands Outlet Mall in Miramar Beach introduced “Midnight Madness” last year, opening their doors as early as 10 P.M.
The outlet is expecting more than 60,000 shoppers throughout the night and into Friday morning,
The crowds don't seem to be deterring shoppers.
The Silver Sands Outlet Mall is giving a literal meaning to Black Friday with its second annual "Midnight Madness" event.
The kick off to the holiday season brings an assemblage of people out to swipe their cards and fill their shopping baskets.
Jonathon Reiter is an avid holiday shopper.
"Everybody does it every year I think, and crowds don't bother me at all. I kinda like it"
Alexandra Miller also plans to get some of her holiday shopping done tomorrow.
"I'm planning to get up early and beat the rush. I'm interested to see what it has in store."
And if concerns of the economy are crossing people's minds, they don't seem to show it.
People may still be in the "red" on Black Friday but it's the perfect opportunity to bargain shop.
Angela Triplett is the Public Relations Manager for the Silver Sands Outlets Malls
" I think consumer confidence is up this year and everyone is looking for value right now. And that's what makes our outlet center so popular. A lot of our stores are offering anywhere from 40-50% off the entire store, but it’s only during midnight madness 'til 5 or 6am, so I think that is really going to encourage shoppers to come out and get those great deals on these designer items"
And if you're not an early bird this may give you more incentive to shop. The Silver Sands Outlet Mall will be giving away six $1000 shopping sprees between 1-6 A.M."
Triplett said it was a huge success last year.
“You can register at shopper services which is right next to Michael Kors. No purchase necessary. Just fill out your ballot and turn it in; We're gonna pick a winner every hour from 1-6 and we will give you your shopping spree gift card in the spot so you can spend it right away."
Over sixty thousand shoppers are expected to walk through the doors to start and possibly finish their holiday shopping with electronics and toys leading the way.
"They come out here expecting to power-shop and they get so excited about these great deals that they get and I think that's what Black Friday is all about."
