The Callaway City Commission is looking for ways to make do with an already trimmed budget. One idea: implement ad valorem taxes.
The taxes will be tacked onto property owners in the city. However, not everyone is pleased with the idea of a new tax and a large turnout is expected at Monday's Town Hall meeting.
Everyone is encouraged to attend and learn more information about filling the holes in the local budget.
The meeting is at 7 p.m. at the new Arts and Conference Center on State Road 22 at the recreational complex and ball fields.
