The FCAT, should only be used as a tool, to measure where our kids at, and what they need improvement on. The FCAT should not be used for third graders. This does nothing but, mess with the young minds if they fail and can't go forward to fourth grade. I've had students score 299, on both parts of the FCAT, which is considered failing, and have to take the entire test again, because they didn't get 300 or above. I hope Gov. Crist has the guts to get rid of the FCAT, or change the way it is used.
