Detectives Search for Missing 21-year-old Tallahassee Woman
Detectives in north Florida are searching for a 21-year-old woman whose vehicle was found in a Georgia city refuse site three days after her disappearance.

Danielle T. Brown was last seen on Friday, February 5, 2010, at 8:30p.m., leaving her residence in the 7200 block of Springhill Road. Brown was driving a 1994 Silver Buick with Florida Tag 694YBX and wearing South Pole brand jeans and a yellow shirt.

Brown’s family reported her missing Sunday, February 7, 2010, at approximately 7:30p.m.

On Monday, February 8, 2010, at approximately 10:00a.m. the Pavo, Georgia Police Department responded to the report of an abandoned vehicle found at the Pavo City Refuse Site.

Pavo Chief of Police W. Sydney Turner responded to the site and during his investigation traced the vehicle back to Danielle Brown. The Pavo Police Department found no sign of Brown in, or near, the vehicle.

The vehicle had been damaged by fire and was secured as possible evidence.

Due to indications that Brown’s vehicle had been damaged as a result of arson, Investigators with the Georgia State Fire Marshal’s Office Arson Unit conducted an investigation. As a result of that investigation the fire which damaged Brown’s vehicle was determined to be an act of arson.

Elijah James was identified as a suspect during the arson investigation and a warrant for his arrest was obtained by Investigators with the Georgia State Fire Marshal’s Office Arson Unit yesterday evening.

Leon County Sheriff’s Detectives had identified James as a person who may have information about Brown’s whereabouts and interviewed him yesterday.

James was arrested by LCSO Detectives once the 1st Degree Arson warrant had been obtained. James was arrested at a residence on King Post Way, which is located in eastern Leon County. James will be booked into the Leon County Jail to await extradition to Georgia. ((Click on the camera icon at the top of the story to view Elijah James photo. ))

Detectives continue to search for Brown and ask anyone with information on her whereabouts, or have had contact with her since Friday, February 5, 2010, to contact the Leon County Sheriff’s Office at (850) 922-3300.

Authorities have arrested a man suspected of setting fire to a missing woman's vehicle and they say he may have knowledge of her whereabouts.

LCSO Detectives arrested 35-year-old Elijah James at an Eastern Leon County residence on King Post Way Monday evening. He is suspected of burning 21-year-old Danielle Brown's vehicle. Brown was last seen last Friday and was reported missing Sunday.

Officers discovered her Silver Buick at a dumpsite in Pavo, Georgia Monday. The car's tag was removed and the insides had been set on fire. James is charged with first degree arson and currently booked at Leon County jail, awaiting extradition. Detectives are still searching for Danielle Brown.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- Detectives in north Florida are searching for a 21-year-old woman whose vehicle was found in a Georgia city refuse site three days after her disappearance.

The Leon County Sheriff's Office says Danielle T. Brown was last seen leaving her home in Tallahassee on Friday. Her family reported her missing on Sunday, saying it was unusual for her not to be in contact.

On Monday, police in southern Georgia responded to a report of an abandoned car at the Pavo City Refuse Site. The vehicle was traced back to Brown. It had been damaged by fire and was secured as possible evidence.

A spokesman with the Leon County Sheriff's Office says foul play has not been ruled out. Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff's office at 850-922-3300.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Danielle and all of her family. I pray that she is found safe and sound and brought back home to the ones who love her. And if that man did murder her, rest assured that the deepest, darkest hole in hell is reserved for him!

He must have murdereed her their would be no other reason to burn the car . the police will find her soon and the courts will let the perp walk with a slap on the wrist.
