Commissioners appointed Jimmy Hughes to the board. He'll complete the remainder of Commissioner Harold Haynes' term, which ends next spring.
Haynes resigned earlier this week because he's moved to a home outside of Lynn Haven city limits.
Hughes retired from the Bay County school system last year after a 41-year career. He had served as Deputy School Superintendent the last 11-years.
