Panama City to Get First Assistant City Manager

Panama City's City Manager Ken Hammons will soon be getting some assistance.

Florida City Manager Jeffrey Brown will leave his job in central Florida on September 1 to become Panama City's first assistant city manager.

The Lakeland Ledger newspaper says Brown will earn $79,000 a year, compared to his current $56,000 income.

The 38-year-old Brown was selected in a nationwide search.
