The artifacts from the famous unsinkable ship, “Titanic” will be docking at the Visual Arts Center in downtown Panama City a little bit longer.

"Titanic: the Exhibit" was scheduled to close Labor Day, but due to popular demand the museum is extending its stay for one more week.

More than a thousand visitors came to the Visual Arts Center in downtown Panama City in just the past few days and sponsors hope to keep them coming.

With the start of the new school year, more teachers are planning school trips to the Visual Arts Center, increasing attendance for the exhibit.

It's the history of the Titanic and the fascination of seeing artifacts that were underwater for many decades. This is what seems to draw people to the exhibit.

but once the exhibit sails away after next weekend, visitors should expect other exciting events to take its place.

"Next summer we will host Gild Hall and Adventure in the Art which features work from Andy Warhol, Jackson Pollock, Roy Leichtenstein a priceless and historic body of work from many very important artist from the twentieth century"
