The battle over Medical Marijuana in Florida appears to be growing as many republican leaders in the state are against a proposal to put medical marijuana on the 20-14 November ballot.
Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi has openly said the proposal isn’t clear enough.
Her office added the amendment would make Florida one of the most lenient medical-marijuana states.
Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam backed Bondi saying he is against the measure.
“I’m very troubled by it, in terms of what it could mean for our state and what we’ve seen in other states that have reduced the restrictions on it,” said Putnam.
The Florida Supreme Court will listen to an argument on medical marijuana next month, one step in seeing if it’ll make it to next years election.
