An Gadsden, Alabama man, who was arrested during a huge internet sex sting last year, is going to prison.
A Federal Jury found 40 year old Thomas Monroe Lee guilty Wednesday of using the internet in an attempt to persuade, induce, and entice a minor to engage in sexual activity.
Last June, Lee contacted what he though was a 14 year old Panama City Beach boy, through an ad he found on Craig's List.
He arranged to pick-up "Skylar", then take him back to Alabama for sex but when he arrived, he found out "Skylar" was actually an undercover Bay County Sheriff's Deputy participating in "Operation Riptide", involving 14 local, state and federal agencies.
Lee was 1 of 14 people arrested during the operation.
he's Facing 10-Years In Prison, A 250-Thousand Dollar Fine And Up To Life On Probation.
