Bay County Students Participate in STEM Projects

Some Bay District elementary school students are showing off their science skills at the Science and Discovery Center.

This year is the first annual science showcase for the center. It features work from twelve schools around the district. Each school brought around ten projects each.

The projects are supposed to interest younger students in science. Science and Discovery Center officials say the showcase has a lot of variety.

"It's across the board from plants to bodies to boats and force of motion. Eminems. It's pretty exciting," said Linda Macbeth, Executive Director of the Science and Discovery Center.

Teachers from the district selected what projects would be on display at the center. Macbeth says she hopes more projects will be entered to be on display next year.
