Beginning in March, you will slowly see less of the classic Bay Towne Trolley on the road.
The aging fleet of buses and trolley's will be adding five brand new vehicles to their fleet.
The first bus will hit the road in March, the others will join the fleet over the remainder of the year.
The new buses will no longer look like the traditional trolley. They will be much larger, to take on an increasing demand for public transit in the community.
"The change for the riders, it ought to be a more comfortable ride. Our fleet is again. We are doing the best we can keeping the older vehicles going, keeping the air inside. It is more difficult with an older vehicles. So those things will make a more enjoyable ride," said Bay Towne manager Gene Keen.
