TAMPA - Three cats and a rather large snake, rescued from a house fire, are expected to make a full recovery thanks to the quick work of some firefighters.

Tampa Fire rescue responded to a house fire Tuesday afternoon. When they arrived, they found a two-story home with heavy smoke coming from both floors and the roof.

Firefighters went inside to look for anyone who might be home. The house was empty, except for the three cats and a 7-foot boa constrictor. They were trapped in a second floor bedroom above the fire.

The cats, named Luna, Bonnie, and Leo, were taken to a rescue unit where they were given oxygen. The furry felines, along with the boa constrictor were then turned over to their owner.
