PANAMA CITY BEACH - Bay County Sheriff's Deputies are still investigating a stabbing Tuesday afternoon, that sent a man to the hospital in critical condition.

It happened about 4:30 Tuesday afternoon at the Second Time Around Furniture store on the corner of Front Beach Road and Anne Avenue.

Apparently 29 year old Tyler Buckee and 43 year old Mary May were renting an apartment behind the store.

Bay County Sheriff's Deputies say the pair got into an argument.

That's when May allegedly stabbed Buckee in the chest 3 times with either a beer bottle or a glass vase.

When they arrived they found Buckee inside of the store.

They found may several blocks away, wandering along Back Beach Road.

Paramedics took both of them to Bay Medical-Sacred Heart.

"They both have injuries. She has injuries consistent with a battery, he has injuries consistent with a stabbing. That's one of the aspects that we are looking at right now, whether or not this is a justifiable use of force," said Investigator Albert Willis, Bay Co. Sheriff's Office.

Authorities are still investigating the incident, but say May possibly stabbed Buckee in self-defense.

Officials have not yet filed any charges.
