DeFuniak Springs Assistant City Manager Dies

William “Bill” Holloway passed away early Thanksgiving morning from a sudden illness. He was 56 years old.

DEFUNIAK SPRINGS – The City of DeFuniak Springs is mourning the loss of a city leader on Thanksgiving.

City officials tell Newschannel 7 that Assistant City Manager William “Bill” Holloway passed away early Thursday morning from a sudden illness. He was 56 years old.

Holloway was also the city’s Public Works Director.

In a written statement, city officials said “Our condolences go out to the family, friends, and associates of Mr. Holloway. He was invaluable to the City of DeFuniak Springs and will be greatly missed.”

Funeral arrangements are pending.
