Shoppers began lining up for Black Friday as early as Wednesday evening, hoping to catch deals on items for Christmas. While some stores have made it almost traditional opening their doors at midnight, others opted to open their doors at 8 pm.
When most people think of Black Friday, their first thoughts are long lines and electronic gadgets, but for many people in Panama City, those items aren't even involved in their thoughts.
"It's a lot of fun. We're here, we've been here the last four years in a row, it's one of our favorite places to come," said Rose Labod.
The place? Toys 'R Us.
The line wrapped around the building as parents, some with children nearby, prepared to go into the store, opening it's doors at 8 pm.
While things remained calm for the most part at locations like Toys 'R Us and Best Buy, there were other locations where it wasn't all fun and games. In the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Panama City Beach, there was some pushing and shoving from shoppers as they tried to get the best deals.
But for many people, the Black Friday experience was a pleasurable one that they look forward to doing again, especially when paired with the excitement of getting exactly what they wanted.
