Demond Wilson, best known as Lamont Sanford from the Sanford and Son sitcom, will be appearing next week.
He continues to act, write and produce entertainment projects on TV and in movies.
Then in 1983, Wilson became an ordained pastor and began a worldwide minister.
Chautauqua Assembly organizers say they had no trouble getting Wilson to b this year's keynote speaker.
"Demond Wilson founded restoration house, which is a program to rehabilitate prisoners and he is still involved with that today,” said Christopher Mitchell, President of the Florida Chautauqua Center. “This is a faith based organization as well, so he is going to talk about that and how that connects to the Sanford and Son years."
Wilson will speak on Friday January 24th at 9:00 a.m. at Walton High School.
There are a limited number of tickets available for $15.00.
