The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of one of their own.

Deputy Quinnaland Rhodes passed away unexpectedly, two days after Christmas, at his home in Apalachicola. The Sheriff’s Office says the 44-year-old had a heart attack.

“Quinnaland and his laughter and sense of humor will be greatly missed,” said the Sheriff's Office in a news release.

Quinnaland served with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office for more than eleven years. He leaves behind his wife, Felicia, and seven children.

His funeral is Saturday at 1:00 p.m at New Life Tabernacle by the Sea in Apalachicola. The burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after the service at the Franklin County Parks and Recreation.

Condolence cards sent to the Sheriff’s Office will be forwarded to Quinnaland‘s family.
