Bay County Sheriff's Deputies are sorting out the details of a shooting incident in Panama City Beach.
They have arrested at least one person involved.
The strange part of this story is that sheriff's deputies are not sure there is anyone else involved in this case.
Deputies answered the disturbance call around noon Tuesday at a home on Allison Avenue.
"We'd gotten a call about shots being fired after some kind of a disturbance. We arrived on scene and found no one in the house,” said Sgt. Steve Nagy. “One female came out the front window and we had to take a fire arm off her."
Investigators said the female is a 15-year-old runaway from Illinois.
She claimed the house was on fire and there were people inside, trying to get her.
"Shots had been fired but not at any person that we can determine,” said Nagy. “It appears she may have just been by herself."
There was no fire and authorities believe the teen was using drugs that caused hallucinations.
She is facing several misdemeanor weapons charges.
Fortunately the teenager did not hurt herself or anyone else during the incident.
