A disabled veteran who has sacrificed so much for his country and his family needs help to rebound from a costly mistake.
Benjamin Sharit is the primary caregiver for his wife who was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1991. When he’s not working or caring for his disabled wife, Sharit loves to ride motorcycles.
Sharit saved up $6,500, enough to finance a new Harley Davidson. Monday afternoon, he put the money in an envelope, placed the envelope in his saddle bag and headed to Panama City Beach.
When Sharit arrived, the envelope was gone, along with the money.
Sharit retraced his route, but found no sign of the missing envelope or money.
Family and friends say Sharit is heart broken. They’re hoping an honest person will find the envelope and return it.
A substantial reward is being offered.
