The Washington County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Chipley woman for a bizarre domestic violence case.
Deputies say 42-year-old Beth Barnes cut the victim with a scalpel.
The victim called the Sheriff’s office about 10:00 p.m. Thursday to report the attack. Washington County EMS arrived within minutes and transported the victim to Bay Medical Center/Sacred Heart where they are listed in critical condition.
Shortly before 11:00 p.m., deputies got a call from the Holmes County Sheriff Office. Barnes had called them to report her role in the incident.
An arrest warrant was obtained and Barnes was taken into custody. She’s charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and domestic violence.
