Downtown Panama City in the Running for a Makeover

Downtown Panama city could get a big makeover, but it's up to our community members to make it happen!

Benjamin Moore, North America's most respected paint manufacturer and color authority has launched its biggest initiative ever called "Main Street Matters" to revitalize 20 Main Street areas across the country. Downtown Panama City is a part of the National Main Street Program which focuses on the revitalization and promotion of Downtown areas.

Officials of the Panama City Downtown Improvement Board say that they campaign asks consumers to cast their vote online for which 20 Main Streets should be revitalized of the more than 100 North American cities nominated at www.paintwhatmatters.com. Panama City has been nominated, and the Panama City Downtown Improvement Board hopes the community can come together and vote.

Officials for the project say there will be no cost to the 20 Main Street communities that win this competition. Benjamin Moore will provide all the supplies needed and will hire skilled professional painters to execute the project, putting another segment of local business to work.

Go to www.paintwhatmatters.com and vote for Panama City every day through June 30th. It is as simple as that! By voting for Panama City, you will be helping in the efforts to revitalize our Historic Downtown area!
