PANAMA CITY BEACH - The Florida Highway Patrol is conducting a “Comprehensive Roadside Safety Checkpoint” Friday night on Back Beach Road in Panama City Beach.
Officials say this is all in an effort to keep the roads safe this holiday season.
The checkpoint is set up State Road 30 (US Hwy 98) near Nautilus Drive in Panama City Beach.
It started Friday night at 7:00 p.m. and will go on until midnight.
During the operation, vehicles will be stopped to check for driver impairment.
Law enforcement will also be citing drivers for traffic violations.
