FSU Promotes In-State Tuition for All Vets

It's estimated more than 100,000 veterans under the age of 34 are living in Florida. Although, nationwide that number is much higher.

Eric Barron, the president at Florida State University is working to make sure any military veteran receives in-state tuition at any university in the state.

Barron says the university supports lawmakers in working toward making sure Florida’s universities best serve those who put their lives on the line for all Americans.

He says he believes there will be overwhelming support from other college presidents. ”I think that you’ll see broad support among the universities in terms of ensuring the success of our veterans.”

Nationwide, there are already 17 states with similar laws.
