What started as a fire in a small one story wood frame home in Downtown Panama City threatened to spread to neighboring structures for a while.
Panama City firefighters received the first alarm around 10:30 Friday morning to the fire at 602 McKenzie Avenue.
Then just light smoke was visible, but within a few minutes flames broke through the roof and additional firefighters and equipment were called in to help.
Firefighters used several large pressure fire lines to get water onto the flames.
Within about 30 minutes, firemen had the blaze under control.
No injuries have been reported
