PANAMA CITY BEACH -- Despite Sunday being the 4 year anniversary, individuals and businesses are still seeking damages against BP, saying they were hurt financially by the spill.

BP has just announced that after surveying nearly 4 and a half thousand miles of coastline, it's ending its active clean up of all affected 778 miles.

In a statement a BP representative said even though active cleanup has ended, they will keep resources in place to respond quickly if potential oil is identified and requires removal.

Beyond clean up, BP has paid nearly 13 billion in fines and claims.
4 billion of that came to the state of Florida. Still, more claims are being filed.

As of February of this year, workers involved in the oil spill clean up can file medical claims because of chemicals used during the clean up.
