Free Medical and Dental Exams Offered to Veterans

A local healthcare company is trying to keep local veterans healthy.

Pancare offered free medical and dental screenings Thursday at their two Bay County clinics.

The vets went to the East 15th Street clinic for the medical exams.

The dental check-ups took place at the clinic on Jenks Avenue.

Not only did doctors thoroughly check out each patient, but they also performed some of the services like dental cleanings, extractions and fillings.

About 90 people took advantage of the free services.

Dr. Robert Abbiati, "It's a small thing that this organization, Pancare, the doctors, the hygienists, the assistants, the front office staff, can do in support of the men and women that have served over the many, many years."

Any veteran who was unable to make it to Pancare's Dental Health Clinics Thursday will have another chance on November 14th at the Pancare Clinic in Freeport.
