Girl Scouts of the Florida Panhandle celebrated their 2013 Cookie Product Program Saturday morning with a rally.
The rally let troops from all over Bay County come together to interact with one another with plenty of fun to go around. However, the time wasn't all fun and games - the girls learned lessons that could help them in the future, particularly pertaining to money.
"It's really beneficial for the girls so they can learn those financial literacy skills," said Becca Mendoza, one of the organizers of the event. "Some of the activities they got to participate in was counting change back for the customers, it's those business ethics that they learn at an early age."
The event featured activities to help the girls who participate learn 5 specific business oriented skills that range from goal setting to people skills.
