PANAMA CITY -- Gulf Coast State College is already beginning the search process for a new president. Dr. Jim Kerley will be retiring at the end of this school year.
Search committee members held the second and final presidential town hall meeting Tuesday Night to discuss some of the qualities they're looking for in their new president.
They identified two key qualifications: credentials and experience.
Meeting Attendee Patrick Brennan said, "I'm really interested in the future of this college. I love Gulf Coast State College. I love Bay County and I want to see that we work diligently to bring in the most highly qualified president that we can fetch."
Board of trustees will use the information fro the tow hall meetings when considering the candidates that apply.
They hope to have someone hired by next April to insure a smooth transition.
