DESTIN - The Thanksgiving spirit was alive and well Thursday in Destin.
This is the 19th year the Harbor Docks Restaurant held a free thanksgiving dinner to help those in need.
The restaurant also accepted donations to go to Destin Harvest, and Habitat for Humanity.
The Harbor Docks owner says he is grateful for those that came out Thursday to help volunteer for the event.
Charles Morgan said, "There are hundreds of people here today volunteering. At the same time there are people sleeping out in tents trying to see who will get the best video game tomorrow. I like this approach better. These folks have given up a day when people stay at home and eat, and watch TV, and they are out here to feed other folks and people who are hungry."
Over 180 people volunteered for the dinner.
