PANAMA CITY - Parents who send their kids to Bay County's schools aren't the only ones preparing for the school year.
The Fellowship of Christian Teaching Homes held a homeschooling open house on Saturday.
Several dozen parents went to the open house at Covenant Presbyterian to learn more about what homeschooling could offer their kids.
"It's to give you a little introduction to our homeschool group, Fellowship of Christian Teaching Homes, as well as answer any questions for any new homeschoolers or people that are thinking about homeschooling and help those who have been doing it for a while," said Stephanie Starke, the events coordinator.
"Just a better understanding about things that are available in terms of curriculum and in terms of choices I'm making. It's a great way to just find some support for what you're doing," said Tamara Tanner, a parent.
The homeschooling group also held several workshops to talk about how to homeschool on a budget and how to homeschool multiple grades.
The homeschooling group has been together for more than ten years.
