How You Can Help Oklahoma Tornado Victims

The Panama City Red Cross Chapter is receiving lots of calls from people who want to help victims of the deadly tornadoes in Moore, Oklahoma. Most are asking where they can drop off clothes, food and other items.

At least 24 people, including nine children, were killed in the massive tornado that flattened homes and a school on Monday afternoon.

"It warms my heart that so many local folks want to know how they can help in Oklahoma,” said Executive Director, Bob Pearce. “The logistical challenges of trying to move, sort, store and distribute millions of donated items arriving from all over the country are insurmountable when the local infrastructure is decimated.”

Instead, the Red Cross says the best thing you can do to help is make a financial contribution of any size.

There are three ways to do that:
