Investigators Keep Searching for Missing Spring Breaker

Bay County Sheriff's officials say they have not given up on a Rice University student who disappeared last month while visiting Panama City Beach for spring break.

Friends say they last saw 21 year old Reny Jose around 7:00 on the night of March 3rd.

He was part of a group of 20 other students who were renting a beach house on the west end.

His friends reported him missing the next morning.

They told authorities he took LSD, or a synthetic form of the drug, the night he vanished.

Investigators found his clothes, wallet and cell phone in a trash can near the house.

Authorities believe Jose went swimming, so most of their search efforts have centered on the gulf.

"We've continued to have an active investigation we're open to any and all leads that come up in that case. We're still looking and still would appreciate the public's help with any information," said Tommy Ford, Major BCSO.

The Sheriff's Office, Crimestoppers and the Jose family are offering a combined $15,000 reward for any information.
