PANAMA CITY-- Two political races are heating up in the Panhandle.
One is the District 6 State Representative's campaign to replace Jimmy Patronis.
The other is the Circuit Judge's seat currently held by James Fensom.
Fenson and one of his two challengers faced-off in a candidate forum Wednesday, sponsored by the Bay County Bar Association and the local League of Women Voters.
Fenson and Gerard Virga fielded questions about some of the issues, including homeowners rights, adoption agency problems from drug-abused parents, family dependency and the addition of courtrooms.
"The position of the circuit judge is such an important job and when you think about the judicial system, they are our eyes and ears they are our conscious of our community and to make sure we have justice in Bay County," Bay Co. League of Women's Voters member Donna Baird said.
The third candidate, Shalene Grover, could not attend due to a work conflict.
The non-partisan race will be decided in the August primary.
