According to Panama City officers, a vehicle vs pedestrian incident happened in front of a home off West 23rd Street Sunday night.

Investigators said it all started with some sort of argument over the phone between the driver and a group of people at the residence.

Panama City Police said it escalated when the man drove his car to the home and used it to ram into the crowd, and in doing so they said he injured a woman and small child. Luckily, though, their injuries reportedly were minor and paramedics treated them on scene.

Investigators told NewsChannel 7 the driver fled the scene on foot and ran into a neighboring home, not knowing the homeowners. Deputies said they entered that home and arrested him. He faces aggravated battery charges. The Panama City Police Department didn't release the names of the driver or the victims Sunday.
