It’s estimated nearly 300,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year.
Every woman and even men are vulnerable to the disease.
That’s why hundreds of locals packed into the Grand Theater at Pier Park to show off their best undergarment.
It’s the second annual Battle of the Bras kickoff to help raise money for The Making Strides against Breast Cancer walk. Many Breast Cancer survivors and a few brave men strutted their stuff on the catwalk, while people voted on their favorite pink bra outside.
While only one pink bra won, the big winners are the brave women and men fighting the disease.
"That's really important for me. To find a cure for breast cancer and that women should be aware and do a self exam. Because I myself found my breast cancer," said Marie Good who is a breast cancer survivor.
So far, the Panama City Making Strides Organization has raised more than 43,000 dollars.
There are only 51 days left until the Making Strides against Breast Cancer walk.
