Man Pleas No Contest to Murder Related Charges

The first of four defendants in the robbery-murder case which took place on September 17th in east Panama City entered a plea Thursday morning before Circuit Judge Elijah Smiley.

Jabarus Pittman

Jabarus Pittman, who is charged with two counts of being a principle to attempted armed robbery with a firearm, pled no contest to the charges against him in return for his testimony against the other three defendants in the case.

The trio was charged in the murder of 41 year old Marc Addison Logan and the wounding of 32 year old Antonio Lee Edwards on the night of September 17th.

In exchange for his cooperation, Pittman agreed to a sentence of seven years in prison rather than going to trial.

Since Pittman is a juvenile his parents had to agree to the plea agreement as did the victims family.
