BAY COUNTY-- A local woman has posted $8,000 bail and has been released from the Bay County Jail after she allegedly got “outta hand” Wednesday night at a Panama City Beach condominium resort.
Bay County sheriff's deputies answered a noise complaint call a little before midnight at the Island Reserve complex on Front Beach Road.
When they tried to arrest 39-year-old resident Melanie Jones, they said Jones resisted arrest. One of the deputies grabbed her wrist.
Jones allegedly slammed the door on the officer's head and began hitting him. Deputies eventually used mace and a taser on Jones in order to arrest her.
Residents in the condo complex said when it was all over, five patrol cars from several agencies were sent to the scene
On Thursday, County Judge Joe Grammar ordered Jones be held on an $8,000 bond on disorderly conduct and battery on a law enforcement officer.
The judge also forbid her from possessing or drinking alcohol once she's released from jail on bail.
