Pregnant Woman and Her Baby Killed In I-10 Crash

NORTHWEST FLORIDA - A pregnant woman and her unborn child are killed in a crash on I-10.

The Florida Highway Patrol says a pick-up truck ran off the shoulder of I-10 at mile marker 119 in Washington County about 11:15 a.m. Monday. The truck rolled over, ejecting the passenger, Misty Nicole Hanson, 28, of Westville. She was transported to Bay Medical /Sacred Heart in Panama City. Unfortunately, doctors were unable to save Hanson or her baby.

The name of the driver is being withheld pending the investigation.

A second deadly crash happened at 7:20 p.m. Monday. This one in Okaloosa County.

53-year-old Robin E. Lucas of Wing, Alabama died when his motorcycle went out of control while going around a curve on Kennedy Bridge Road, east of Bullard Church Road.

Troopers say Lucas crashed into the bridge railing and overturned. He was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene.
