23 year old Kiaya Cardwell was traveling northbound on 231 with three year old Landon Davis around 3:30 Tuesday morning. A witness, also traveling northbound, stated she saw the vehicle coming up behind her at a high rate of speed.
Cardwell swerved into the inside lane, then swerved from the outside lane to the inside lane and then back again. Cardwell overcorrected, went out of control and rolled over several times. Cardwell was taken to the hospital were she was pronounced dead shortly after.
Three year old Landon Davis received minor injuries. He was not in a child safety restraint.
