Newt Gingrich was campaigning hard in Alabama this weekend. The republican presidential candidate stopped in Dothan on Saturday.

Residents packed the Wiregrass Museum of Art. Gingrich told the crowd he needs their help to re-shape the race and pave his way to victory. He's hoping to win the primary in Alabama and in Mississippi this Tuesday.

Gingrich has already won in two other southern states: South Carolina and Georgia -- where he served as a congressman for 20 years.

We need Newt now, to get this country back to what we love about it...freedom. He's the only one that can bear Obama and he has all the right answers to the problems that face our nation today. It would be scarry to have Romney in office. I am from Portland, but not a democrate!
