Panama City Flooding

Many locals are spending their 4th of July holiday wading through water. Most Independence Day celebrations in our area are cancelled because of the soggy conditions.

Cars are stalling, some drivers are ending up in rain swollen ditches because it's tough to tell where the roads are.

Law enforcement is asking everyone to stay off the roads if at all possible.

In fact some of our employees on the way to work, have been turned around by deputies sent back home.

There are reports coming out that Bay County Sheriff's Deputies are having to rescue people from their homes. The same holds true for parker police and fire.

8 homes on West Street and 98 in Parker are being evacuated as well as 8 homes on Cherry Lane in Panama City.

That's in addition to some apartments in Panama City on Stanford Road.
