A weeklong program for sea cadets finished up this Saturday. The students who participated ended their time at the camp with a competition where they got to use the skills they learned to finish an underwater obstacle course.

13 students from across the country came to Bay County's Naval Base to learn about how unmanned vehicles work underwater. After learning how the technology works, they spent time with instructors, they built their own devices to compete with one another.

While the students are a part of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadets Corps, they were here with the SeaPerch program which has been working to encourage students to be involved with STEM based (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) programs.
