Is it possible to use racial slurs, but not tolerate hate?
Paula Deen, a culinary celebrity, is a part of the debate.
A lawsuit was filed against Paula Deen and her brother, who are accused of racial and sexual discrimination by one of her former restaurant managers.
In a deposition filed in federal courts in Savannah, Deen was asked if she ever used the “N-word”. Her response was, “Yes, of course.”
Deen insists she and her and brother are against using slurs in “any cruel or mean behavior.”
