Panama City Beach -- The Florida Highway Patrol reports that a pedestrian was struck while running across Thomas Drive Thursday night.

18-year-old Christian Bryant Alford of Tallahassee, Fla., was attempting to cross to the north side of Thomas Drive near Joan Avenue when he ran into the path of 28-year-old Steven Alan Farmer, of Kennesaw, Ga.

Alford was critically injured, and transported to a local hospital, and the FHP is charging Farmer with DUI resulting in serious bodily injury.

there was only one guy he was riding on the top of the truck towards the back of the cab area and driver slammed on breaks to miss ol boy and dude flew over the truck n hit the ground folks in the back of the truck jumped out and took off and the guy was drug a short distance under the truck n was tryin to get up while the paramedics were there n he fell out when they put him n the ambulance they were tryin to resuscitate him but one of the fire workers said that the street would b closed off for hours so the could do a vehicular homicide report that means someone lost their life

The people that work on both sides of the street, The Pizza Hut strip mall, the Blue grocery store and several other witnesses say that it was more than just one that got hit and that one of the people died. I am wondering why the FHP are only reporting the one person hit?
