Seven airplane passengers are waking up safely Thursday morning, thanks to a successful emergency landing Wednesday night at Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport.
The pilot of the "Beechcraft Twin-Engine King Air" radioed-in the emergency call around 8:35 Wednesday night.
He reported he had lost power in one of his engines.
At that point, the plane was just south of Apalachicola, about 80-miles away from E-C-P.
The pilot continued flying towards Bay County, while airport emergency crews and firefighters waited for the aircraft to arrive.
The plane safely touched down around nine. No one was hurt.
Authorities were concerned because the plane had quite a bit of fuel on-board.
No word as to why the engine failed.
