Police Searching For Van In Connection To Shooting

PANAMA CITY-- A new turn of events in a shooting that occurred at the Macedonia Garden Apartment Complex last week, killing a teenager.

Police are now looking for the van seen here. The vehicle is believed to be a 2004-2007 Chrysler or Dodge minivan.

It appears that the van does not have a luggage or roof rack which is common on this type of van.

Also, the van does not have tint on the front two windows but does have dark tint on the rest of the windows.

Police believe the vehicle was occupied by two males. Immediately after the shooting the van exited the apartment complex heading east on 17th Street.

Seventeen year old Samuel McGriff Jr. was shot in the stomach area and later died from the wounds.

Police say he was standing outside in a common area of the complex.

If you have any information on the shooting or recognize the vehicle, contact the Panama City Police Department at 872-3100 or CrimeStoppers at 785-TIPS.
