Pyramid of Panama City Celebrates 20 Years

PANAMA CITY-- Abra-cadabra - poof! - its magic! And there is a lot more where this came from as Pyramid of Panama celebrates twenty years with a magic carpet ride!

"Pyramid of Panama City is having a twenty year celebration with a magic show this Saturday at 6 p.m. at Kaleidoscope Theater in Lynn Haven. The show involves a Genie, a storyteller, magicians and clowns. Pyramid provides training in visual arts, in performance arts and fine arts and every day living skills for adults with developmental disabilities," Barry Hertzog, instructor at Pyramid of Panama City, said.

Hertzog conjures up some magic of his own for the show.

"I have been celebrating magic for about 50 years - I started when I was ten - magic is something that I love to do!"

But Barry wasn't always a magician.

"I'm a retired prison warden, did law enforcement for the last thirty years. When I retired I wanted to do something, I've always been in the performing arts...came out here, found Pyramid - I love this job. This is the most rewarding position I have ever had in my life ...it just make me feel so good."

Admission to Saturday night's show is free but donations will be gladly accepted.
