Reward In Dog’s Murder Doubles To $12,000

MOSSY HEAD - The ASPCA and a private donor are turning up the heat on the person wanted for killing a family’s beloved pet.

Helo, a 2-year-old Rottweiler, was found shot to death September 14 in Mossy Head, two days after he went missing. A rope had also been tied around his neck.

Crime Stoppers initially offered up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction. The Humane Society of the United States then added $5,000 to the pot.

Now the ASPCA has added an additional $5,000. Along with $1,000 from a private donor, the reward has doubled since September 24.
