Panama City- Callaway's Sandy Creek residents made quite a statement during Tuesday morning's Bay County Commission Meeting.
Homeowners from the subdivision took a stand, holding up signs saying they're unhappy about the impact fees for water and sewer improvements.
The city of Callaway is charging Sandy Creek property owners thousands of dollars in special assessments over a ten year period.
"We're scared by this. We're going to lose our homes," said one resident.
"They're frustrated and I'm frustrated. We can't seem to get anything concrete resolved and it's time. It's beyond time," said Bay County Commissioner Guy Tunnell.
Commissioners decided to reach out to Callaway Commissioners to discuss the issue.
They'll bring it back up in the November 20th Bay County Commission meeting.
